Bit odd but plausable, some firms do that rather than have a lease car.

First I would get the £100 cash. If that dont turn up he is most likely scamming. Then ask him for the company details - there should be no reason I can see why they cannot transfere the money to your account - much safer.

BE WARNED just because the cheque has cleared is it not safe - OFTEN CHEQUES ARE PICKED UP AS FRAUDULENT A COUPLE OF WEEKS LATER and at this point they can take the cash back.

iirc the cheque takes a couple of weeks before it physically reaches the bank it was issued from, and when it does, it may be found at that point to be bogus, or stolen.
