Progess has been painfully slow becuase the replacement engine was built by a blind man

The bottom end was basically thrown together with no thought put into it at all, I have been unformed that the engine would have been lucky to survive a day at Combe, real shame considering the time and money spent

The valve guides where not fitted in straight so had picked up on all 4 exhaust valves. Peugeot items have now been fitted as they have better stem seals but should they need doing again a new head will be required

The faults retified that I can remember

Bad honing
Block face not flat
Oval bores
Big ends
Main bearings
Piston rings
Valve guides
Incorrectly fitted oil seals

On the up side the head has now been fully worked, full race port with new guides, better port shaping. The suspension and turbo should arrive back next week and the following has arrived

ATL fuel cell
Swirl pot
044 Fuel pump
Engine sensors
Most of the fuel line parts
Exhaust components

Still searching for a Cosworth throttle body and holley blue top fuel pump, February and March are going to be busy months if this car is going to be done in time for Bristol and Swindon RS day
