They stopped local groups charging a fee and as said basicaly forced people to join the main club. As you say tone , it is as easy to go with a visiting car club. If it boosts the rsoc membership , who knows?
AS for groups being voted out, well there have to be rules and it isnt hard to get one person to a LGM/agm once every couple of years? and that is voted on by local groups
