yamaha engine is the 1.25 or 1.4 these have belt's the 1.3 OHV / HCS engine has a chain and as above just check the valve clearances and change the oil and it'll last.

but check which engine you have as i'm not sure which you mean i have heard some people call the 1.25 a 1.3 before.
