Thing is, it had a new cam 500 miles ago, and since then it mashed the new lifters that went in with that cam at the same time.

Can someone please confirm: Does the 1.6 turbo use the same cam as the 1.3 model would? (That doesnt really sound right to me at all)

When the auto store (who have a very good reputation in the local towns around here - family owned chain of stores in Notts/Lincoln/grantham/Newark and have been around for years) gave me the cam and I saw "1296cc" written on its packaging, I did ask if they were sure this was the right cam for my car. They double checked their information and insisted the 1300cc cam was the exact one reccomended for the Rs Turbo.

First things first, if they have given me a cam that is completely wrong for the car, then that explains some of the problems the car has, and Ill be going in there tomorrow morning to kick someones arse!
