after the item was shipped. When I deposit a check funds are released,
but forged checks can take weeks to be found and then my account will
have money deducted. These scams have cost me thousands of pounds.
I sold a car and I received a counterfeit check.

You will send the money to a third party shipping company, not to me.
After you will receive the car they will forward the funds to me. This is the most secure and traceable payment method.
