Just to let you know I found the problem today. Turned out to be the ground wire off EDIS pin 9 had shorted with a 12v cable and burnt away. Took a while to find it!

Thanks again for the replies though. At least now I know that if an EFI tacho drops to zero and stays there i'll check the EDIS power + gnd 1st!
