2003 Focus 1.6 engine light
Hello,
First post, and I'm afraid it's a problem.
I've got a lovely 52 plate 1.6 petrol Focus Ghia. Fallen for it totally.
It's had a full service last week, passed the MOT with flying colours.
Drove into work today, and it was fine. Left it parked for three hours (it was chucking it down) and nipped out to the local shops.
As soon as I turned it on the engine warning light came on, and stayed on.
I've tried the old diagnostics with the tripometer on engine start, and no error code is being given - just says none.
The engine is running fine, revving as normal, no backfires, gear changes are smooth.
Oil's fine and all the fluids are bang on.
Obviously she's going back to the dealer under warranty (they also need to fix a few niggles like the 12v sockets aren't working).
Just as bit of peace of mind does anyone know what this could be? All I've read is point towards the sparkplugs (although I'd hope they'd have been checked last week during the service!!)
Thanks for any advice you folks have.
Matt
