I've used most makes inc ferrodo/mintex/pagid/tarox/ebc etc etc.
I get free ferrodo if I want discs and pads, the discs are good.
I instead buy EBC redstuff and yellowstuff, and have done well over 50,000 miles on them(not each set but overall), used with el cheapo discs that I drill.
I would recommend grooved discs, or the ebc grooved/dimpled along with either redstuff ceramic or yellowstuff.
The two pad types are very different, the red ceramic are very dusty and is black dust so if heavy braker wheels need washing every 500 miles!, the pads work 100% from stone cold first press, no noise no squeal, and fade resistance is excellent, a fairly soft pad they are.
The yellows by comparison do take a little heat to work thier best, but not a lot by any means say 4-5 medium stops at traffic lights etc and they are there, saying that they are about 90% when stone cold, so can still easily lock the wheels if needed, very clean in comparison to the reds.
The reason I like ebc is TOTAL lack of noise, amazing feel, you can really feel the pedal and what the brakes are doing.
I always take the anti rattle shim off the rear of the pads, and have never not once heard the slightest sqeauk even when new and cold, as I say I have to pay for these instead of using free ferrodo.
I use el cheapo discs about £40/pair but change every pad set anyway.
Just use reds/yellows braided lines and grooved dimpled discs from ebc, you'll be ok.
