Default rev clock acting as a boost gauge, why?

right,

when i bought me van it had the boring black clocks without a rev clock.

one set ofgti clocks later and a bit of wire to the ecu and hey presto, we have a rev clock.

now it was working fine, same as my mates old escort td, 750-850 rpm at idle, 2500rpm in 5th was 70mph.

ive since upped the boost on the van, i cant be accurate of how much as my new turbo gauge was reading 13psi before and is still reading 13psi now!!! (a problem for later).

now when driving sensibly the rev clock acts as it should, but when you plonk your foot down it flys round past 4500 revs, ease off and itll return to where it should be (you know how it works and what it should be reving at in a particular gear at a certain speed), it raising and lowering at the same time as the turbo gauge? it sdefinetlay not the engine screaming away and slipping on the clutch.

any ideas why as its really doin my head in now.
