No one actually knows. There's a lot of industry speculation because of the new Google phone. If one tech website releases a story about the 'new iPhone', all the rest do to keep up - but in reality, only the bods at Apple know, if and when the next gen phone will be released.

Apple traditionally release their latest gadget in September, BUT 'something' is going to be announced by Apple at the end of Jan, but it could be nothing to do with the iPhone.
