Cast your minds back a few months and you 'might' remember a certain red, 28k, absolutely mint condition, '1 owner from new' orion mk2 that my bro-in-law bought for a ridiculous amount of hard earned wonga.

today, after leaving my house and travelling the 5 minute journey down a country lane to his house, he had a short interlude with an inconsiderate bunch of deers who decided to cross the road in front of him on a national speed limit road while he was doing about 50 mph. About 5 of them leaped over a hedge, into the road, and over the hedge the other side. He managed to miss 4 of them but hit the last one square on with the o/s/f corner. Car now looks like this:















Needless to say the lad is f00kin gutted. The cops said hes lucky to be alive. If he had hit a stag then it'd be him that they'd be picking up off the road instead of a dead deer. The woman who witnessed it in the oncoming lane said he did well to dodge the first few. Pity the last one copped it. Car is a mess. It's mad to think how much damage something like this can do. We had to peel the windscreen back out of the car and throw it in the boot, then drive it back with no screen. Must've been a rare sight seeing a white mk2 orion, then a mangled red mk2 with no screen, and a police-escort going to penkridge...

Hopefully it's being dragged to a paintshop tomorrow where his mate trev is gonna pull all the bad bits off, hopefully straighten the front panel and inner wing and await replacement bits. Of all the cars for something like this to happen to - why a fucking 28k minter????

I'm gutted for him.
