but it can be due to a number of reasons, would be handy if you could tell if it wasn't starting due to being too rich or too lean......

Mine was too rich, i measured the water temp sensor (which the simple ecu relies heavily upon) and the car thought it was -15 deg or something lol so was over fueling. This wasn't obvious at start up because the car had a massive air leak as well.
