at the min im using a standard fibre type gasket, but im thinking of using the later blacktop MLS gasket?

you will have to cc your engine mate because the standard fibre gasket is 1.6mm thick and the std focus one is only 0.6mm you might be better off with the st170 gasket as its 0.9mm and there both good for well over 500hp and both only about £30 .
