you are right it is a lucas pump, it was running fine for a couple of days with few slight misses here and there then one morning i came out and it was quite cold and its cranked a few times to start but i thought some of the glow plugs were gone so i replaced glow plugs and it fired so i thought that was it, then i drove to a friends 15 miles away and parked it up for 3 hours and come back out and nothing, so my friend a mechanic said to check immobiliser light to see if it was flashing when starting and it wasnt so he said its probably the start stop solenoid as i have fuel to the pump else he would reccommend the primer,


any ideas where i need to cut to get at the solenoid
