You cannot safely adjust the boost yourself, and it does sound like your ecu is not chipped!
I'd get it setup mate, should cost around £150.
But this is specialist work and cannot be done by any old garage!
not really specialist setting up the fueling on an mfi unit most mot stations know how to adjust for richness. timing has never been that hard either.
