Setting aside Torrents, as thats as whole subject of its own to be discussed on my other thread!!

While using Shareaza, which I have used fairly successfully for a while, I am now finding since I changed to 1 Meg and a new PC (running XP SP2) that my download rates are virtually non-existent (10kb at the very best).

I have turned the Windows Firewall off, but it makes no difference. I noticed that there are some other settings that you can apply specifically to the Modem/Router that you are using.

If you go into Control Panel and Click on Windows Firewall, it opens the window that allows you to turn it On or Off. However, if you click Advanced, you can click on the device that you use to connect to the Internet and alter some further settings. Could it be any of these that are pooing up my Download Speeds??
