Hitler achieved very little in terms of improvement in GDP, he made a section of the population feel more wealthy as a result of printing cash off left right and chelsea without any reserves to underline the currency and by stealing from and enslaving another massive portion of society.
Any society based on providing for some people by enslaving others is bound to result in some people having a nice life.
All the "massive improvements" hitler appeared to be making were tricks and cons and totally unsustainable.
If I got in absolute power tomorrow I could make everyone in the country feel rich for a few years at the expense of their future, especially if I could enslave masses of people to do it, its the easiest thing in the world.
He was a great public speaker and a great manipulator, but ive never seen any evidence to suggest he had the feigntest clue how to actually run a country well, I think the communists in china are doing a far better job of improving life for the masses under them than hitler ever did.
