Depends if they know what they've got

If they do, no chance, anything under £2K is going to need work and deep pockets IMHO.
However, you do find good cars about, with a desperate, or nieve owners like mine. Anyone who has seen my car close up has said its one of the best condition cars they have seen. It's got 48k ish on the clock and I paid £1500 for it with a genuine 200BHP engine. It just needed a bit of putting back together. Things like manifold and turbo putting back on, 5th injector conecting back up etc.
Just keep a look out, and buy on body condition, NOT whats under the bonnet.
