just googled my problem and they came up with a site www.howtofixit.com

on there sum1 posted to take the unit out and unplug, then when u plug it back in it will reset and relaod and it did! happy days

so in future if u get cd error e3 dont stress try this method first....

mine had 6 cd's in and it all now fully works again, HORAY.
