i thought that black would get rid of the heat the best but if thats the case why are pretty much ALL aftermarket rads/intercooler/oil coolers etc silver or plain ali?
or does black keep the heat in the rad, or is it all pretty much the air flow that makes the difference?
Why is it that in the summer black cars are red hot to touch and white/silver is cool maybe the cooler colours do get rid of heat quicker?
if silver reflects the heat (back into the item) more than black then why dont they all come black or tell people to paint them?
this has been a thought that has crossed my mind for years but ive never tested the theory.
i know silver/bare ali looks better and all that but its the heat dispensing capabilities im thinking about.
really odd this black and white debate as i know 100% in the hot summer days (yea the 1 or 2 a year we get i know!) if im wearing black trainners then my feet get red hot if they are in the sun, if i wear white then they dont get hot at all, however look at the Arabs in the deserts which are proberly the hottest places on Earth and some wear white others wear black!! WTF is best? LOL
