Mate, I know people who've put in normal gear oil and it became a nightmare to shift. Maybe not undriveable but certainly not as good as with the proper stuff.
...didn't say "normal".......if u do a bit searching on here u'll find that instead of fookin about with 3 different oils u just use a good "fully synth" in all...........but then again it's ur car....do what u like......
