ive heard of pepl running 25psi of boost with them - but for how long i dont know.

after having a std paper gasket fail and the messing about and cost of having it removed and refitted (granted its a lot easier of a job than a LOT of cars) i'd go straight for the cometic 3 layer metal gasket. ive got one fitted as have many more and as of yet there is only 1 person ive heard of that its failed on - BUT when sent back it turned out that teh gasket was a faulty one in the first place. hth, dave.
