I got a letter this morning from a debt collection agency saying I owed my old ISP 15 months worth of broadband @ £269.85 . I rang them up and told them I closed the account ages ago but couldn’t remember how . They said that I only cancelled the direct debit and the ISP still provided the service so I have to pay. I don’t even live at the billing address any more. Can they make me pay this? I have not had any reminders or communication from anyone before this. Any advice please guys? Thanks in advance.
