I used to race RC car's and they cost a LOT, i've still got a few grands worth or stuff down the cellar, i've been thinking about going back.
Driving around a field is boring. Its the same as driving around morrisons carpark in your car. Fun when your 15 and can't drive on the road but boring otherwise. You'd be best of finding a local club and going to watch, ask what they race and theres usually some second hand 1s for sale.
Race fee's are usually only about £5-10 be prepared to get beat by a 12 yearold though
