Afternoon Dojj,
Stu wishes some of you would at least post in the forum that he and other members of IB webteam actually check in for
problems. https://passionford.com/forum/passio...d-problems-50/
If you dont actually tell them that they have problems they will never know... However, since he hasnt by chance spotted this one, let me give you some insight...
As many of you will know, they have been suffering a DDOS attack from a malicious third party trying to take down IB's network for some weeks now and while their network is setup to handle very substantial traffic
(it deals with over 50 million visitors and 650 million page views each month), as has been seen by other large internet sites
(Twitter, Facebook, Google et. al.) such a large scale attack will cause connection difficulties regardless of what some IT trained members on here would have you believe...
In this they are no different, and it wasn’t until sometime early this month that they where able to implement a successful resolution to the issue. They spent a significant amount of time with their service providers to identify solutions to help mitigate this attack and have put in place a very significant amount of hardware to filter out the traffic. Whilst also improving their Firewall bandwidth and installing other hardware had to take all the sites down a couple of times over the last week to finalise one or two of the upgrades on the servers.
For security purposes, they have been instructed not to provide more in-depth information beyond this but please rest assured that their databases were never impacted and that no information was breached.
As part of the implementation of the resolution you may have encountered some issues with the site and its functionality, they are working through each of those items, and if you come across an issue, if you could please post it in the
correct forum to ensure that they have seen it, it would be completely fucking ignored.
They have been and continue to work around the clock until all the issues are resolved, they apologise for the inconvenience.
