Blimey.. cant believe theres not been an update since the car has been finished?! As in my last post we were flying along to get the car finished for le mans... unfortunately i left it right till the day before going to get the car set up and mapped at MAD's and we had a slight hick up, the exhaust manifold showed up a weak point and split!

After coming back from the le mans trip we soon jumped back on the car and got her up and running! At first the car was running 18psi with the Gt30-71 for a couple of months whilst getting a little used to the car and making sure everything was ok! The car went very well at that although i was soon talked into more power..

It all started with needing new tyres on the back as dew to the little 13's in the dry the car had no traction throughout 2nd and just put the power down in 3rd so i had worn out tyres within a fortnight or so I left it to my bro to order me up a set of toyo 888's, my only requirements were to get me the biggest i could fit on 13's lol... The tyres came through a little bubbly, rather like drag tyres to be exact! I took her out for a drive and found that i could put the power down from 2nd onwards!

As you can imagine now i could put the power down my bro talked me into more power (naturaly...) so we popped to marks MAD for further mapping!
As the car went like stink anyway i was slightly worried to as how the car would handle it?!
Mark asked how far i wanted to take it and i said what ever it can do
We reached 2.4 bar and it felt very strong but we hit problems! I could hear some rattlying after a long 4th or 5th gear run which i thought was the gearbox.. no the oil pressure gauge was reading 0

The oil pump had failed, shattered in fact!! Back to square one the engine was stripped to address the problem! Luckely the car wasnt run for long after the failure so the damage was minimal! The engine came apart completely and was rebuilt with a new crank and bearings which was the only damage!

Since being back on the road it was mapped weekend before last at 2-2.1 bar and it absolutely flies!! Unfortunately dew to spending a fortune on the car and not really getting out and using it much ive decided to move on from this and put my money else where so the car will be getting broken!

A for sale post will soon be put in the right section once ive had a good think on all the parts and prices!
