What you have done no doubt is distort the alloy housing of the metering head by screwing the thing too tight... about 8lbft is enough due to the o-rings. If youve distorted the metering head then youve fooked it, to be blunt....

Do you folks have any idea of the implications of turning that screw too much BTW?

Well, my car is standard, and the pressure actuator has never been off.
I haven't screwed it back on yet as i am waiting to get the new bits.
As for adjusting the screw, unless i had proper equipment, i wouldn't
touch it.

Dav2, yeah ford told me id have to buy the whole thing, which is £154 quid but the unit is working, just the seals.
