Yes.
Beta-blockers are for high blood pressure or the physical symptoms of anxiety (palpitations/sweating/short of breath etc).
The reason for coming of them gradually will be so that your blood pressure doesnt shoot sky high and your body can get used to regulating it on its own again.

Perhaps you wouldnt take them forever, it would just be a case of stopping them one day (under the gp's direction) and see whether you get a migraine again or not.

Beta-blockers dont usually cause people to have any yucky side-effects, is it propranolol?
