Right, update

Completely flushed the sytem, no difference.

removed the stat completely, just takes longer to warm up, and runs cooler when moving, but as soon as you stop, the gauge raises quite quickly, and the fans come on when the needle hits the bottom of the red! (fans are blowing towards engine)

Rad feels very even heat wise all over.

im suspecting head gasket or maybe cracked head?
