laquer is shite on rocker covers, seen people have a nice paint job, skim it and polish the u shape bit then laquer, give it a while like you say and it looks naff
normal paint and laquer will look shit its not high temp so it will crack and fade thats why u have to use 2 pac paint on something like a rocker cover i used plasti kote on mine from B and Q thats made for high temp i laquered it to with there laquer and ive had no problems at all still very shinny
