Default 95 Fiesta 1.3 cold start problem

Hi folks, I've just joined this forum so forgive me if this question has already been asked. I just recently picked up a 95 Fiesta 1.3. and up to a few days ago it has been running and starting beautifully. The easiest way to describe the problem I'm getting now is, it now starts like a carburetor with no choke, it will start but will cut out imediately if you dont keep the accelerator down, and until it warms up, it is very spluttery, has a noticable flat spot and wont idle properly, keeps cutting out. Once it reaches normal temp, it drive fine, so obviously it's a cold start device problem. Looking thru various forums , I found a topic similar to what I'm getting and refered to removing no 19 fuse (20amp IGN) start engine, switch off and refit fuse. I tried this and got a noticable improvement but still have very little fast idle (although it now tends to gradually creap up) and is still a bit reluctant to tick over, but is definately better than it was, although there is still plenty of room for improvement. Any suggestions as to what may be causing this, and how to fix it would be greatly appreciated, thanks, Aidan.
