If you do then statistically you are likely to lose a fair amount of money, as opposed to win a lot of money.

As obviously for everyone who wins a million playing poker, they have won off a 1000 people who have all lost a grand etc.

Ultimately playing poker doesnt generate money, it just redistributes it like any form of gambling.
