Sticking one in a cossie would be a massive upgrade IMO.
Until you have driven a properly tuned V8 on the road and heard the soundtrack you would not understand the attraction.

A cossie off boost is as much fun as sticking wasps up your arse, a nice V8 engine does not even need boost and has torque from idle to the redline rather than the last 50% of the rev range.
