Most insurance companies have a basic level of cover for tools on board (usually between £250 - £1000 )but have the facility to increase this as/when needed subject to adequate security.

For example I look after a mobile tyre fitter who has £25k of gear in the back of his van which is all covered

You/your company should speak to their insurers to increase it
