J1MBO, you just rub it back and forth - well I did anyhoo, suppose a bit like if you were sanding a panel, start of soft and increase pressure until it feels right.

You will start to feel less and less resistance unrtil the bar just glides.

I can appreciate those that say polish will do, and that true, but the results of your polishing WILL be better after you have clayed it.
