If you know that the other flats are valued at less and aren't any bigger, you can and should appeal against your rating. I think the bandings can be checked at the council office free of charge.

We had Scottish Hydro Total Control for our storage heaters until we binned them this year. They are the only people with the radio control thing but, if your storage heaters aren't storing you might be cheaper on Economy 10 or similar for your portable heaters etc.

Argyll is quite a small community and I'm sure your landlord would hate to have a reputation as a slum landlord if the local paper just happened to hear about the wean living in damp conditions while her daddy is away supporting our troops (nothing wrong with exaggeration in the press!)
