Really beginning to think about this now - I've got nothing holding me back here in the UK, and I really want a change...

So how do I go about it? Short of marrying an American girl, how do I go about getting citizenship? I don't really fancy selling up over here, moving out there, renting, buying all the shit all over again, then finding out I don't qualify for citizenship and having to do it all again in reverse!

What the deal with jobs? Is it like Oz where you have to have a job or career on "the list" to be able to work out there?
