I need a prgramme for the PC where I can record from source onto the HDD. I can already copy CD tracks onto the HDD, but I need to record from an external device (mainly my minidisc player, plugged in via the mic in or line in on the back of PC)

I can do it using the boggo Windows Sound Recorder, but that only gives me a 1 min length of recording, which is useless.

I need something that will record for as long as I need it too (ie, 5 mins, ten mins etc) and save it as MP3 (prefferably), and most importantly, it needs be downlaodable for nowt
