the N97 or N97 mini are the nokias to go for.

All the software problems are mostly resolved now with updates. Best thing you can do is debrand the phone removing the logos and allowing you to always use the latest nokia software.

N97 has wireless and a 5mp camera which is fine for day to day stuff and much better than the 5mp camera i had on last phone. I think thats because it has decent optics.

Sure no camera phone will replace a proper camera.
