LED tvs are shit hot, far better than LCD and Plasma, they use less electricity too, not 1/4 as they'd let you believe though, for instance a 200watt lcd will use the same on average as a 350watt plasma which will be around the same as a 100watt on LED.
LED's and LCD's use the same power all the time, plasma fluctuates from low power to it's maximum depending on the brightness of the image.

i'd be waiting for prices to drop more though, remember that all big flat panels were many thousands at first, now down to £500 or there abouts for 42" or well branded plasma.
