Hiya could some one please tell me as really unsure, i got a mk1 gearbox for a standard 1.6 zetec engine and need to know will it fit into a mk 2 standard 1.6 zetec engine. The years only 1 year apart as my mk2 focus is only on a 51 plate. Any help would be very appreciated as i pulled off my drive this morning and lost all gears including reverse except 1 and 2. Ive jacked car up and opened and removed plastic cover on gearbox and removed my rods and 1 hinge is turning side lovely but the other one is stiff??? i checked if any oil in gearbox and appears to be fine but still feels stiff so give some lube and loosened up and some how managed to get back 1,2,3,4,5 and reverse but seems stiff and hesitates goin into gears???? So basically i have another engine off a mk1 focus which i broke a few weeks ago and really need to know if will fit and any ideas why this may of happened pls??
