If it goes to court, use that as an argument, saying you'll lose your job etc. I know someone who got off a ban as he'd lose his job without a license (mechanic) he got points/fined for dangerous driving, but they let him off being banned. iirc hes actually got 12 points now, but because of this, isn't banned. But obviously drives like an old woman now lol.
of course you need to say that in court, but at no means does it work all the time, even though its a vaild reasson, the court will look at it and work it out and then decied. so if he has backup plans then sorted.
