the best way to learn is give it a bash,couple of old panels,cut them up and prep them then just giv it a go,thats how i learnt and ive practically replaced all the panels on my xr2 and done a few homers since for people for mot's and they've all passed so i must be doing something right just practice b4 you start on your car
