There is more pressure yes, but providing everything is in good condition, it'll be fine. Running an engine hot reduces wear and fuel consumption. If it's running at a decent temperature when crusing, getting hotter in traffic before the fan cuts in is no problem. There is no point having the fan cut in, and it fighting against the thermostat. I run a 92 degree stat in mine in the winter - better economy and hit heater.
