Gotta disagree with you there as my mk2 mondy td had a lucas pump and I did over 25k on veg oil - some of it used veg oil and some of new. Never had any problems and I even drove through the Breacon Beacons in it.

I agree however that the Bosch pumps are better suited as my mates 150 quid escort is still going.
