It never ceases to amaze me what people will pay for.
The add is full of crap, the best components, the only thing that is changed is the light source, there are several ways to do this, some better than others.
You can use led's, being a flashaholic I have many years experience of different led's in all colours and brightnesses/voltages, even multicoloured.
LED's are pennies, even for decent ones for this amount of light, the trouble is they will not dim at the same rate as the other panel lights, due to their needing a much closer voltage range.
My way cost you £4 to convert to ANY colour of your choice, that will offer you perfect even light distribution, for a little work.
It's called GLASS PAINT, been using it 20+ years, simple remove bulbs, paint colour of your choice allow to dry naturally replace.
A small pot of glass paint will do in excess of 150-200 bulbs, so don't think you'll run out anytime soon.
Jarrolds or craft shops are a good place to get glass paint, just don't use on Halogen, as these get too hot and DO allow to dry naturally(24hrs), turning on to heat up and dry doesn't work, done that myself!!
Alternatively if you wanted multicoloured this will be with good led's for less than £10, + switch cost.
