Ford do a recon service but its big money from memory. I bought one several yrs ago & I'm sure its £200 ish + your old shaft.

If by swapping both shafts you've moved the problem from one side to the other it does seem to point to it being one of the drive shafts.

Also check out Ebay, they do come up on their.I'm not sure of the quality though.
