it used to be like this for all scsi drives, in the windows setup there is a prompt where you can press a key and it looks for drivers on removeable media
when windows starts to install you need to press F6 to install additional drivers first (after you press any key to boot from cd on the blue screen the prompt will appear at the bottom..
