the inner sleaves are ALWAYS wider than they need to be

so you've done the right thing by trial fitting them into the xmember before finding out on the actual fitting day that they don't fit

take the sleve itself and trial fit it into the xmember and then file it down to fit

then make sure that the sides are marked up so you don't mix them up in future
